Ashness landing is a stunning location for photography sitting on the shore of Derwentwater and can be photographed at any time of the day but probably best at sunrise which is when I took this. There was quite a bit of cloud cover preventing seeing the actual sunrise but the hidden sun still managed to produce some nice colour. I decided to use a long exposure which has flattened out the water and added some movement to the scudding clouds.
