Wednesday morning I looked outside at 5am to see thick fog so decided to head over to Mam Tor for the sunrise. I arrived about 40 minutes before the sunrise to see a wonderful inversion completely filling the valley and just spent the first 10 minutes enjoying the spectacle before getting my camera out and set up. The inversion looked spectacular with the first colour of the coming sunrise adding an orange glow to the horizon while the top of the cement works stands proud above the sea of mist.
