With a temperature of -5 setting off in the dark you never really know what you are going to find or if a sunrise is on the cards so you can imagine my delight when faced with a scene like this when arriving at Pindale 45 minutes before the sunrise. The mist in the valley looked fantastic turning a soft pink as the sun cleared Shatton Edge and reflected across the heavy frost making perfect conditions for photography with even the cement works looking majestic emerging from the mist.
