Yesterday morning I looked outside at 6am and could see a mix of cloud with a few stars peeking through so I decided to chance a sunrise heading over to Curbar Edge to try my luck. I arrived in the dark but could already see a bit of colour coming through along with a bit of nice mist down in the valley so I set up and watched the dawn break enjoying the changes of light as the sunrise drew nearer. This was taken just a few minutes after sunrise with the sun now high enough to catch the foreground rocks while also bathing the village of Stoney Middleton in its golden glow.
