I looked outside at 04:30 and the skies were perfectly clear so thought I'd head up to Higger Tor for the sunrise, just over an hour later and thick mist had rolled in so a change of plan had me heading up the other end of the valley with Winnats pass as my destination. Walking over the fields towards the top of the pass I could see the rich pre dawn colours on the horizon and then reaching the edge the view over the valley was spectacular as it sat under a thick sea of mist so I immediately set up my camera to capture it in all its glory
