I was driving down the Snake Pass and spotted these trees catching the
afternoon light so I just had to stop and go back to photograph them. It was shot with my 12-100mm lens rather than my usual Ultra Wide angle as I wanted to compress the perspective and isolate the trees against the heather clad hills.I decided on a vertical image using the full extent of my zoom choosing to capture the 2 trees which contrasted nicely against the diagonal angles of the recessing hills creating an almost abstract image.
