I had a brilliant day yesterday exploring one of the Peak Districts hidden brooks in the afternoon then almost gave up on trying for a sunset as it had gone very grey and overcast but a hint of brightness breaking through as I drove into Hathersage had me up at Carhead on the off chance that the sun would make an appearance.
It actually turned out pretty well as the cloud gradually thinned to allow some lovely colours to come through for the sunset then continued on to give a stunning afterglow.
