43. Morning light over Stanage millstones.

Monday morning I was up early for the sunrise, stepped outside my front door and was immediately hit square in the face with driving rain (I nearly turned around and went back to bed!) I decided as I was up I might as well head out so went up to the millstones below Stanage Edge. It was still raining but now gale force winds added to the fun, luckily this was hitting me from behind so I was able to keep the lens out of the rain. I spent the next 40 minutes watching the thick clouds speed past grabbing a few shots when they looked interesting while not expecting much from the sunrise as the sky had virtually cleared, 10 minutes after the sunrise the sun finally broke through casting some glorious golden light over the landscape making it all worthwhile.
