Friday morning with a reasonable forecast I got up and headed up onto Over Owler Tor for the sunrise. I arrived 40 minutes before sunrise to clear skies and wasn’t expecting anything special but gradually it started to fill with cloud and 40 minutes later when the sun broke the horizon there was the ideal amount to produce a fantastic and unanticipated colourful sunrise.
