Thursday morning I was up early for the sunrise stepping out of the house into torrential rain and high winds, I first stopped at the millstones for the sunrise then moved onto the top of Stanage Edge where luckily the rain had now stopped but the wind was even stronger making standing difficult and the use of a tripod impossible, the light though was stunning with the low sun bringing out the colours and textures of the landscape. This was the view I took looking down the Hope Valley wedging myself between the rocks in an attempt to keep the camera still enough to get a sharp shot.
