Last Sunday morning I woke up to thick fog so decided to go over to Curbar Edge for the sunrise, unfortunately the fog was so thick the sunrise didn’t materialise. I packed up my gear and headed over to Padley woods where the conditions should be ideal. I arrived to find the fog to have thinned out but still enough to create some lovely atmosphere. I couldn’t go here without a visit to my favourite twisted oak trees adorned with moss and surrounded by the stunning late autumn colours.
