I haven’t done a sunrise for ages so yesterday morning I put that right heading up onto Hathersage moor to capture the sunrise at Mother Cap. When I set off it was drizzling and with thick heavy cloud, I thought that maybe I should’ve stayed in bed. I had already planned my shot so I set up my composition and spent the next 50 minutes watching the thick clouds roll across the sky, luckily as the sunrise drew nearer a small gap started to appear on the horizon which was just wide enough to let the sun squeeze through bringing with it a lovely band of orange.
