On Monday I went for a walk along Derwent Edge to reach the Salt Cellar in time to shoot the sunset. It was lovely to see the heather in all its glory and looking much better than it has for the last couple of years. I arrived at the Salt Cellar with the sun just starting to drop into a think bank of haze so I had to make the most of the colour before it faded away completely, the sun sitting behind the cloud was diffusing the light creating some lovely soft tones making it a joy to photograph.
