Thursday morning I was up for the sunrise going up to the abandoned millstones below Stanage Edge, initially it didn’t look too promising with thick clouds over the horizon so I didn’t expect to see the sun. Luckily though as the sunrise time passed and the sun got higher in the sky the high cloud started to take on colour and ended up giving a great display for a few minutes before fading away again. Definitely worth the trip up.
