Saturday morning with a heavy frost forecast I was up early for the sunrise heading over to see my favourite tree on Lawrence Field. Well it was certainly frosty and with a temperature of minus five there was a bit of a nip in the air. I headed into the field and set up amongst the frost and was treated to some sublime pre dawn light which cast a lovely purple glow with a warm orange band over the horizon. Shortly after this, thick fog descended blotting out the sunrise but I was not disappointed as I managed to get one or two nice shots of the pre dawn light.
