After a full days photography I finished the day up at Carhead Rocks. It was very grey, overcast and windy when I arrived but I could see a narrow area of clear sky just above the horizon so was feeling confident that when the sun dropped into this space it would light up the landscape. I set up my camera and watched the clouds scud past waiting for the sun to drop below the clouds. The transformation was stunning going from flat and dull to full on vibrant colours and textures within a few seconds and was in the perfect position to capture the moment
