Tuesday evening and finally a break in the dull weather so I headed over to Derwent Edge for the sunset. The 1 mile walk over the moor isn’t particularly inspiring but as soon as you reach the end of the path the landscape opens up giving you a glorious view over Ladybower reservoir with far reaching views towards Bleaklow and Howden moors. There was quite a bit of cloud around but all I had to do was set my tripod up and wait for the sun to break through and light up the heather in the foreground bringing life to my composition.
