On Sunday I headed over to the Upper Dove Valley to capture the sunrise. This is the view looking over Parkhouse hill taken from the slopes of Chrome Hill and is a shot that's been on my to do list for ages.
I arrived in the dark and I gingerly made my way up the hillside thanks to a dodgy ankle that I acquired coming down from Derwent Edge on Thursday night.
I was hoping for a bit of mist in the valley to create a nice atmosphere which wasn't to be but was still rewarded with some lovely soft pastel colours when the sun broke over the horizon and was certainly worth the silly o'clock start
