New Years Eve was pretty dull for the most part but did brighten up in the afternoon so it was a good excuse to get out for a walk with my new camera.
I decided to head up onto Stanage heading to the highest point of High Neb as I hadn't been there for a while. I set off over the moor to ever thickening clouds reaching the top of the edge to be met with strong gusting winds so it initially didn't look that promising. Luckily the wind helped move the clouds along giving a few moments to allow the sun to burst through the clouds creating some lovely drama in the sky while the climbers added an extra element and great focal point to this Peak District scene.
