I checked outside at 02:30 and we had clear skies then checked again at 04:30 to see that a mist had fallen over the valley so my choice of location just had to be up on Mam Tor ridge.
I arrived to be greeted with some lovely light gently falling over a blanket of mist with the cement works sitting majestically above it all so decided to make the focal point of my shot choosing my telephoto lens to bring it closer and flatten the perspective.
I just love the soft pastel tones that the pre-dawn light can bring.
