Just back from a lovely holiday in Madeira, my first visit and what a place, it's certainly an island of contrasts and some of the most incredible views I've seen.
This is the view from Pico do Arieiro with an altitude of 1818 meters is the third highest peak on the island.
I was taken there by a good friend and fellow photographer Francisco Gonçalves who is local to the island so knows all the best places to visit. This was taken shortly after the sunset as the afterglow kicked in giving us some lovely warm colours and contrasts and was actually getting quite dark at this point
